Parents persisting demands and the desire to reach out to more number of students prompted the management to establish GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) in Bhilai. The ambience justifies the location and the design demonstrates aesthetics in structures and facilities which will be of international standards. The well spread out vast campus has a well demarcated administrative block, a separate academic block with spacious classrooms, seminar hall and department labs. The campus would be similar to the other two engineering colleges established by the group in Chhattisgarh. What’s more, the curriculum and course schedule will be uniformly followed in all the colleges and there will be a healthy competition between the three Engineering Colleges in the group which will lead to better productivity and better engineers who are ready to take on the mantle of shaping a stronger and glorious nation-nay world.

GD-RCET presently offers Engineering Undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical and Information Technology branches with an intake of 60 seats in each one of them but 90 in Mechanical. Additionally the college also has MBA at post graduate level.

Dr. A Vani is graduated from Vikram University, Ujjain (M.P.) in the year 1979 .She did her post-graduation from Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur (M.P) in 1983 with specialization in ‘Applied Inorganic Chemistry’. She has completed her PhD in faculty of engineering with subject chemistry from Guru Ghansidas University, Bilaspur (C.G) in the year 1997. She has worked for more than 29 years in various Educational organizations in different capabilities . Out of her 29 years of teaching exposure, she worked as Principal/Professor & HOD in various reputed colleges in Andhrapradesh,Orissa and Chhattisgarh state. She has published 7 papers in International journals & 6 papers in National journals and many more in other national and international journals.She has also attended one International conference on ‘Simulation of transpiration characteristics of various green leaves under various typical signals generated by pollutants’ at Florida (USA) in March 1989 & three National conferences in 1984-85. She was awarded merit by the Institution of Engineers (I.E.,india) in the year 1986 for one of her paper.Presentaly she is DEAN of applied sciences and member of executive council of CSVTU,bhilai
