Grand Parents’ Day at Rungta Public School, Bhilai
Grandparents are special to every child and they share a special bond. The little children from Nursery to Class-I celebrated Grandparents Day on 13th September, 2019 at Rungta Public School, Bhilai under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Rungta, Chairman SRGI, Director Mrs. Rajni Rungta and the CEO Mr. Arup Mukhopadhyay.
The purpose of the celebration is to honour grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their grand children and to help children became aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer. Since 1978 it has been observed in the United State. Tiny tots from 2 ½ years to 5 ½ years old put up cult
ural extravaganza in the form of Dance, Drama and Music to show the love for their Grand Paa and Maa.
Little ones have put up a dance drama medley on the popular songs of 80s. Kindergarten teachers arranged fun games for grandparents and grand children and awarded prizes. All the children from Nursery to Class-I took a project on “Grandparents” in the last week and put up drawing, interview, colouring etc on the lives of their grandparents. Needless to say, the Grandparents were very happy and overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing for them.
The CEO, Mr. Arup Mukhopadhyay in his speech congratulated all the children for their performances, thanked all the grandparents for their gracious presence and has mentioned that unlike Fathers’ Day and Mothers’ Day, Grandparents’ Day brings recognition, respect and admiration for our grandparents.
