RUNGTA DENTAL COLLEGE STUDENT DR. EKTA SAWRIYA BAGS NATIONAL AWARD

Dr.Ekta Sawriya, Post-Graduate Student from Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Rungta College of Dental Sciences and Research Bhilai, under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta group of Institutions won the 1st prize in All India online essay competition held by Association of Maxillofacial Radiologists and Oral Physicians of India (AMROPIN) 2020. Her essay topic was on Oral Medicine & Radiology– an undervalued Specialty in Indian Dentistry. She told about the importance of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology in dentistry. She bagged the 1st prize in the post graduate category. Dr.Ekta Sawriya wrote the Essay under the guidance of Dr. Jaideep Sur (Professor and HOD), Dr. Fatima Khan (Associate Professor) and Dr. Deepalaxmi Dewangan (Reader) and said as a dentist or an oral health expert, we are blessed with the opportunity of providing a healing touch to a million lives in a zillion ways, and being an Oral Physician & Radiologist adds wings to the dream. In this manner, an OMDR specialist can bring about a big change in the wellbeing of overall healthcare of our country. As Diagnosis is not the end, but the beginning of practice.”
