Celebratory Spirit of Teachers’ Day in RPS
The academic achievements of students are founded upon the shoulders of the educators. They aid in the acquisition of information, the enhancement of abilities, the development of self-assurance, and the selection of optimal routes to achievement. Teachers’ Day, celebrated on 5th September all across the nation is an opportunity for the entire student’s community to show their love and regard for their teachers and mentors. The students of Rungta Public school, that runs under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions celebrated the daywith great pomp and show. Students put on performances, dances and hosted elaborate shows for their most-loved teachers.
The theme for this year’s teachers’ day is ‘Leading in crisis, reimagining the future.’ This is the 60th year since celebrating September 5 as Teachers’ Day started in 1962, marking the birth anniversary of former President and scholar Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
With the normalcy fast restoring and students back in campus, it is once again that time of the year when cultural programmes and events are organised in schools and colleges. Students brought flowers, sweets and cards for their teachers to express their gratitude and love while senior students dressed up in formals and engaged the classes so that teachers can take a break and enjoy the celebrations. An auspicious start was given to the cultural program with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati. The Principal, Mr. Manas Chatterjee and Head of Primary, Madam Deepti Singh performed the puja, seeking blessings for everyone. The students had planned and wonderfully executed a string of enjoyable and colourful musical and dance presentations and games for the teachers, which they enjoyed thoroughly. Later, there were some excellent performances by the teachers and a special musical feat by Principal Sir.
In his address, the Principal, Mr. Manas Chatterjee reiterated that the task of a teacher is to give his or her students a purpose to setting up the best examples as successful citizens of the world, they inspire individuals to do well and succeed in life. Such occasions provide a platform to recognise the hard work of the mentors and gurus. He further said that teachers are the bedrocks upon which any institution’s quality education is built and they are perhaps the few people in our lives who rejoice when their student, outdo them. Chairman of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions Shri. Sanjay Rungta, director Shri. Saket Rungta & assistant director Shri. Shajid Ansari extended their greetings to all teachers and students before the sumptuous lunch served in the school cafeteria brought a wonderful end to the day’s celebration.
